Superyachts and maritime
Content leadership for superyacht businesses
Brokerages, charter houses, shipyards, refit yards and the suppliers who sell into them. I set what gets made, why, and to what standard, then direct whoever produces it.
What the role covers here
- The charter and brokerage programmeWhat each listing needs, in what order, and which pieces actually get sent by brokers rather than sitting unused on a page.
- Show seasonWhat is worth producing for Monaco, Cannes and the rest, decided months ahead rather than in the week before.
- Confidentiality as a working methodOwner privacy, metadata, crew briefing and publication rules built into the brief rather than bolted on afterwards.
- Crew and supplier contentTraining crew to capture usable material through a season, and directing the edit remotely.
What usually needs fixing first
- Films that show the yacht rather than the charter, which is what the next family is buying.
- Listing photography shot by three different people to three different standards.
- A show season planned in the fortnight before the show.
- Location data left in photographs of a private berth.
I trained as a superyacht deckhand with Flying Fish and worked a season aboard M/Y Savannah before founding Orca Media, which works with brokerages, shipyards and marine suppliers including Burgess Yachts, Y.CO, Damen Shipyard and Propspeed.
